“ Their food was so comforting, like grandma’s hug. Our breakfast was delicious, generous portions, fluffy, crispy sweet pancakes, tasty smoked sausage ( somewhere between a mild andouille and a spicy kielbasa) amazing huge western omelette and cheesy good omelette with delicious thin sliced home fries with onions and a nice breakfast blend coffee.Friendly staff, jolly chefs, lots of parking around cafe. Will keep coming back for more! ”

“ We had a wonderful breakfast today. The 1/2 stack pancakes were huge and fluffy with great flavor, not overly sweet. The French toast, thick cut bacon and sausage were also very tasty. Eggs cooked perfectly. They served us warm syrup (bonus) and butter that was actually spreadable (not frozen). Then we had a wonderful conversation with the owners. Lovely, down to earth people. We will definitely be back. ”

“ So, the name changed recently from Sandy's to Cowboy Cafe as Sandy has retired. They are open from Wednesday to Sunday for breakfast and lunch (6:30 am to 2 pm) during the summer. We stopped by at just the right time. We found them on Google searching for local breakfast places while vacationing on Lake Josephine. Everyone says, "Good morning!" here. I love it! The owner comes out to greet everyone and check on the quality of your meal, which was really wonderful. The food was great and well prepared. It's a quaint place with a very home-town feel. The service is friendly and helpful. Lots of good food for the price. We will be back! Oh, and the biscuits and gravy are highly recommended. My husband called the pancakes "perfect"! ”

“ Bit of Googling for a proper locals diner found this place, half an hour or so from my motel. Fantastic fresh cooked omelette and a burger "sample" as the owners were trying out a new meat supplier. New owners, super friendly and the staff were excellent.
